A delegation from the University of Education Winneba (UEW) came for a site visit on the proposed site earmarked for a satellite campus at Gomoa Tarkwa. This visit followed an initial meeting between the two parties on 10th November 2022, concerning the establishment of a satellite campus. Prof. Kekyire Frimpong Duku led the delegation from UEW.
The aim of the visit was to have first-hand information on the site set aside for the proposed satellite campus.

The delegation was met by the Chief and Elders of Gomoa Tarkwa at the project site. The chief then led the entourage around the proposed land for the project to the admiration of the delegation.
The entourage was then led to the chief’s palace to meet the chief and elders of Gomoa Tarkwa officially and to show their appreciation to the whole community of Gomoa Tarkwa for their kind gesture and vision to want to have a tertiary institution in their community to serve the Gomoa West District and beyond. As a sign of goodwill, the delegation presented assorted drinks and cash to the chief and elders of Gomoa Tarkwa to cement the relationship thus far.
On behalf of the people of Gomoa Tarkwa, the chief thanked the management of UEW and the Gomoa West District Assembly for the efforts put in to have their dream of a tertiary institution in their community become a reality.
Hon. DCE, on his part, thanked the chief and elders of Gomoa Tarkwa for being the first community in Gomoa West District to take such an initiative to buy a large parcel of land for the project. He further assured the delegation that, the road network would be completed in due course to ensure smooth access to the project site and the school at large.
