A MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN THE ASSEMBLY AND DELEGATION FROM THE COASTAL ZONE MINERS ASSOCIATION ON FRIDAY, 5TH APRIL 2024 AT THE DISTRICT COORDINATING DIRECTOR(DCD) OFFICE.

A delegation from the Coastal Zone Miners Association headed by the Chairman of the association, Mr Henry Dan-Bamfo, on Friday, April 5th met with the staff and the District Coordinating Director to help streamline the activities of miners within the district and also assist them with proper documentation with their mining activities within the district.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Martin Twumasi advised and pleaded with the leaders of the association that small-scale mining is a lucrative venture which attracts a lot of hooligans so the association needs to work hand in hand with the assembly, the security agencies, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Mineral Commission and other relevant stakeholders to work to realize their ultimate goal.

The chairman of the association, Mr. Henry Dan-Bamfo thanked the staff and the DCD for availing themselves of the meeting and assured them that they would work hand in hand with the assembly for a smooth operation of their activities within the district.
