The District Chief Executives of the three (3) Gomoa districts (Gomoa West, Gomoa Central, and Gomoa East) paid a courtesy call to His Royal Majesty, Obrempong Nyamful Kranpah XI, the paramount Chief of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area and the President of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council, and His Royal Majesty, Obirifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, Omanhen, and the President of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Council on 29 April 2025.
This visit to the traditional authorities was to formally introduce themselves to the overlords of the Gomoa traditional stools, as it is on their lands that they are going to carry out their operations and activities,and also seek their support and blessings to enable them to work peacefully for the development of their districts.
The paramount Chiefs and their subjects also took the opportunity to show their appreciation to the district chief executives for the respect accorded to them and advised them, among other things, to be diligent in their work, collaborate with the traditional councils to enhance effective development, and avail themselves to the good people of the Gomoa districts when needed. Among the demands they made were the construction of their roads, which are deplorable, the need to collaborate with the traditional council for accelerated development, and the DCE availing themselves to the good people of Gomoa when needed.
They pleaded with the chief executives to craft strategies and initiate policies that would create jobs for their youth, reduce the unemployment rate among the youth, and reduce social vices in their communities.
In response, the Hon. Chief Executives extended their sincere appreciation to the traditional authorities for welcoming them into their palaces. They assured them that their concerns would be given due consideration. They also assured them of their commitment and collaboration with them to drive development and progress in their communities. Their leadership and wisdom are crucial in fostering unity and guiding the people, and this meeting will not be the last, as they will always come to them for their wisdom to explore ways of mutual benefit.
They thanked them for their continued support and guidance.
